Imprinted Concrete Repair & Restoration

Pattern Imprinted Concrete is a hard wearing surface that is sealed after it is first laid. However, due to weathering, UV light and car and foot traffic, in a few years this will have worn away. The surface will probably then look dull and be prone to moss and lichens forming on the surface.

Now is the time to get the area pressure cleaned and re-sealed:

  • We use professional pressure cleaning equipment, with a petrol-engined washer driving a large rotary head and turbo lance for certain aspects of the cleaning.

  • After the area has been thoroughly  cleaned and then allowed to dry for a couple of days, we carry out any repairs that may be necessary (for example cracks are filled with a repair compound)

  • Then we strongly recommend two coats of Smartseal™ Imprinted Concrete Sealer to give protection for another 3 - 5 years. We can also add a colour tint to the sealer if it's required. Usually this is when the concrete has lost too much colour to bring back with just plain sealer.

  • A finishing touch is to apply new silicone sealant to the expansion joints.

The transformation is quite amazing! On most driveways and patios we are able to bring the finish to 'like new' once more. View our Imprinted Concrete Restoration Gallery
